Description
I think this is a male Black House Spider. I found him fighting with another male on the basement floor of the house I work in. I managed to separate them before they killed/injured one another. I released them outside later.
It doesn't surprise me that there are so many spiders down there. The house is over one hundred years old, the basement is cool and damp, and the size of the basement is HUGE.
