Description

Found at work in the basement. I think the spider is a female Giant House Spider. I noticed a pill bug was trapped and struggling in her web. This was taking place at a weird angle behind a fridge, so it was hard to get a good shot of the two. The pill bug didn't make it. Even after one bite, it was still fighting hard, even as the spider started dragging it up the web. Poor bug, but it'll provide the spider with a nice meal.

heh, this brings back childhood memories. When I was little, my sister and I loved an old animated version of Charlotte's Web, and we had a spider living in our kitchen window. We called it 'Charlotte' and fed it pillbugs, which we thought was a fascinating sight.
